Auditions are usually held twice a year to coincide with our April and October shows. Exact dates and times are advertised on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds nearer the time.

If you would like to audition for Centre Stage, you will need to be in Year 7 or above and under the age of 21.

Auditions take place in the form of an open event where prospective new members will come along with their own choice of prepared song (from a musical) to sing in front of our Musical Director. They will also be taught a short dance by our Artistic Director and may be asked to speak about themselves. We are not looking for perfection, we are looking for confidence and potential ability.

This is a ‘closed’ audition and the only people present are members of the Centre Stage committee and a few of our older Company members. Members of the committee are DBS checked and first-aid trained.

Successful auditionees will be contacted by telephone or email within 24 hours.

Besides our Spring and Autumn shows, we are often invited to perform by the local community. Rehearsals take place 3 times a week and slightly more in the run up to a major show.

We do expect that all members show a full commitment to Centre Stage by taking part in all events.

Fees are £55 per quarter (by S/O) with an additional one off joining fee of £30.
