To kick-off our celebrations we held our 40th Anniversary ball at the Pavilion. Hannah Caygill tells you about the fantastic event.
We started off this truly spectacular evening with a glass of bubbly (orange juice for the under eighteens of course!) and the chance to have our photos taken by Emma Crane in different couplets and groups. Then followed our really lovely meal, with some speeches from our own Chairman and President, The Mayor of Exmouth, and the Chairman of East Devon District Council. We then were treated to a really beautiful demonstration of ballroom dancing by a professional couple, and then put on our own dancing shoes and took to the floor. It was truly magnificent to waltz and cha-cha around the floor with some many familiar faces. It was lovely to have some of our past members back to celebrate our 40th Anniversary with us. I think we can safely say for everybody present, that it was a magnificent night enjoyed by all!
